Douglas Howe To Speak As Keynote
At MIT Enterprise Forum
Santa Barbara Event Presents Trends
And Strategies of High Definition TV Technology
Simi
Valley, CA February
3, 2006 – Emerson Management Solutions announced today that
Douglas E. Howe will present the keynote address at the Central
Coast Chapter of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Enterprise Forum (CCMIT) on February 16, 2006 in Santa Barbara, CA.
The event is entitled “Enabling The Supply Side of High
Definition Imaging.” The
venue is designed with the entrepreneurial community in mind and
includes a business plan presentation by a local early stage company
which in turn is reviewed and critiqued by a panel of experts.
“I am delighted
to be participating in this event whose subject is so relevant to
much of my experience in business,” said Douglas Howe, Principal
and Founder of Emerson Management Solutions.
“The MIT Enterprise Forum format creates an exciting
opportunity for members and guests to learn first-hand how an early
stage company approaches the common challenges of building a
business.”
The monthly CCMIT
events are designed to provide unique programs and networking
opportunities for entrepreneurs and members of the local business
community. Included in
the venue is a local early stage company that presents its business
plan to a panel of entrepreneurs and industry experts, leading to an
in-depth “round table” discussion of the key issues facing the
company. This month,
following Mr. Howe’s keynote address, Iconix Video LLC will
present its business model and development plans to the audience and
the panel of experts representing the imaging industry and the
investor community. The
panelists will critique the presentation, offering advice and
insights about launching a successful company in today’s market.
The floor will also be opened to general questions and
comments from the audience.
“HDTV represents
the greatest advancement in television technology since the
introduction of color in the 1950s,” said Howe.
“Moreover, HDTV technology has significant appeal in a
variety of commercial market applications beyond the entertainment
industry, as demonstrated by Iconix Video.
This is an exciting time in the imaging industry.”
The Forum is open
to the public, and pre-registration for this event is encouraged at:
